MOST-RECOMMENDED ASSAM LAKSA – PENANG PASAR AIR ITAM LAKSA
Laksa is authentic Malaysia foods, there are Curry, Asam, Katong and Bogor Laksa and many other types. Today we’re going to try the Asam Laksa which could be the main popular type of all! Not only the tourists but the locals would like this!
Then where is the greatest one? If you ask 1000 Penang locals there would be 90% of them tell you that it’s thePASAR AIR ITAM LAKSA near Kek Lok Si Temple. I asked people, too. This special stand has caused lines everyday though it’s in the traditional market. Most of visitors are tourists, but locals recommend!
Malaysia Penang – Air Itam Laksa Feature
This Laksa looks normal but the amazing sour and spicy taste of the soup as well as the smoothly noodle, sliced pineapple and some lettuce and red pepper, one would add cucumber and curry powder called Alpinia officinarum, lemon leaf and the shrimp sauce to specialize the laksa, at last to add a crown by putting mint leaf on it. The soup with little sour and spicy taste and the exclusive shrimp sauce make it layering! I finished it easily with one and another swallow!
The master make the bowl full with noodles, soup and dry it again skillfully to heat it. The elder master is so skillful that youngers can’t reach him! A simple laksa was full of Malaysian passion and perseverance, with not simple taste.
Pasar Air ITAM LAKSA LOCATION and Info
Right at the mountain foot of Kek Lok Si Temple, another side of Air Itam market. It’s always full of people so it’s quite easy to find. Although it’s a little far away from Penang, it would definitely worth a try! If you drive here then it’s better not to come at rush hour so it’s easy to find parking space, and have a great taste trip!
